In the care sector in particular, the requirements for a door alarm system are varied. The door contact is fitted with a reset button. This deactivates the next alarm when the door is opened. This allows carers to enter the room without triggering an alarm and disturbing their colleagues whilst they are working.

The search interface also makes it easier to search specifically for individual people within the building. Filters can be used to quickly determine which room a resident is in or whether they are present in the dining room – which is also important in evacuation situations to ensure that everyone has left a ward.
