Fitting to the appliance
Martin.Care’s asset trackers are attached to the device using a special double-sided adhesive tape, making them traceable.
There are two mounting options: a flat version and a round version.
The round version can also be attached to wheelchairs or IV stands – in other words, to equipment with little or no flat surface.
Easy set-up via smartphone
An asset tracker is assigned to a device directly on site using the Care2Graph app – enter the inventory number, assign the tracker, and you’re done. No separate setup terminal is required.
Energy management
RFID + BLE: up to 30 months
The asset tracker, which uses RFID and BLE, switches to sleep mode as soon as it detects no further movement and then stops transmitting location data. This extends the battery life to up to 30 months. When movement is detected again, tracking is automatically reactivated, ensuring that every change of location is recorded.
BLE only: up to 50 months
Asset trackers that use BLE-only positioning can achieve a battery life of up to 50 months. The battery can be replaced in a matter of seconds using a special key, as and when required.
Anti-theft protection and tamper alarm
In addition to process optimisation through device tracking, protection against theft also plays an important role in reducing costs in healthcare facilities.
Martin.Care’s asset trackers trigger an alarm when devices are found in places where they should not be – for example, when they are not being transported by a courier service.
However, anti-theft protection alone is not enough if the device can be removed without triggering an alarm. That is why the asset trackers are fitted with a tamper alarm that is triggered when the tag is opened or removed.

Alerting vs. Search and Rescue
During the development of Care2Graph, care was taken to ensure that staff only receive information relevant to them. There are therefore three separate views: a search for device types on one’s own ward, a search for specific devices based on their maintenance cycle, and an alarm view for tampering or theft alarms.
